"HTTP 503 Outdated version, please update"

A situation I haven't seen before - whenever attempting to download from a particular GtkG node, I'm getting the message "HTTP 503, Outdated version, please update".

The node in question reports itself as "gtk-gnutella/0.96.4 (2007-07-07)"

Anyone have a clue as to why that node doesn't like me?

(My version: gtk-gnutella 0.96.5u-15118 (2007-12-02; GTK1; Linux i686))

This was some left-over from the expiry suicide mode. I didn't even know
that file transfers would be affected by it, it was only ever meant for
peer connections.

It doesn't like u because u is too old. If you update from SVN the problem
should be gone in several hours. Updating alone doesn't fix it as this peer
would keep on banning you because the ban reason is cached for the IP address.

Looks like we crossed paths while posting.  Thanks for the fast update to SVN.

As for the IP address ban - a reset of the DSL modem to pick up a new IP address while GtkG compiled, and everything is working smoothly now (I have a download queued from that node).  It changes several times a week anyway, so the reset won't hurt anything.
