Hello, I’ve tried to find solution over net, but found nothing constructive...

Anyway. First some background:

I’ve got tightvnc on many computers in several companies for years, more or less no problems, nothing not managable since now.

One of many computers with vnc, but first with Vista (Vista HP 32bit). Completelly new computer, fresh instalation and only one with newest version of tightvnc server.

I can connect with no problems when somebody is actually using destination machine. When its leaved for a while (i suppose that when it go “sleeps” and asks to put password) i get ‘Connection Closed’ error just after typing password to login to VNC.

Just in case: all “sleep” functions has been disabled, screen, HDD, hibernation, sleep – all on server side machine.

The log from my vnc viewer is:

Connected to ulmo.dyndns.org port 5906

  reading 12 bytes

RFB server supports protocol version 3.8

  writing 12 bytes

Connected to RFB server, using protocol version 3.8

Any help highly appreciated ;)

To access the logon screen, TightVNC must be used as a service. However,
TightVNC 1.3.10 cannot be used as a service in Windows Vista and Windows
7. This will be fixed in the next major release.
