'name' table greater than 5KHello,
Recently, when I started generating a font, Fontforge provided this warning: "Windows has decided that fonts with 'name' tables bigger than 5K are insecure and will refuse to load them. Don't ask me why they believe this. This font has a name table which is 15990 bytes and is bigger than this limit." Indeed, the font no longer works with Windows. But I am not sure where this came from. I have been modifying kerning tables; that's it. I removed the copyright statement from the Font Info -> Name screen, which reduced the filesize somewhat, but not enough. Could anyone help me with this? A separate question, perhaps easy. How do I generate a .fea file? I must have generated one accidentally at some point, because I found one, but I don't know how I got it. :-) Thanks, Adam Baker ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Come build with us!
