I agree -- mine was Canadian based and taken through a Provincial Post Secondary University Transfer Program -- and I had to provide some documentation and a contact point, etc.
Zhuhai may be accepted by some training schools because then they can advertise their `white faces` -- a term I despise -- as being `qualified`and having an ESL teaching certificate !! There are over 100 training schools in Huizhou where I am and five of them according to the Ministry of Education have the ability and integrity to sort out foreign teachers based upon real and `copy` qualifications.

AFAIK TEFL International Certs are NOT accepted by IELTS in Southern China - or at least the one offered by GLV in Zhuhai isn't.
