The purpose of the training class is to help foreign teachers on: etc You will be awarded with a TEFL in China Certificate issued by the Information Research Center, State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs (SAFEA). The Certificate is officially recognized as a qualification for teaching English throughout China, and it also provides an excellent credential for entering the TEFL profession. Re: (job) Qualified TEFL in ChinaHere is the new requirements at least in Shanghai.. the FAO will not issue a Teaching Expert Certificate to those candidates who
1. Have no teaching expeirence and TEFL with LESS than 100 Hours 2. Part time teaching experience NO long is considered teaching experience. 3. Volenteer teaching does NOT count 4. Fresh University Grads.. unless they had attended later in life.. i.e... 28 yrs old and fresh grad as an example.. 5. Teaching while attending the university does not count. 6 Less then 2 years teaching experience.. FULL TIME.. teaching ONLY. So the rules change here weekly.. no notice.. they just change.. so all of those folks who think that TEFL cert is accepted every where... well they have to re think their plan about teaching Shanghai at least..
