Judging by the number of job rss feeds I get, there's a shortage of
teachers, whthere caused by flu or Shanghai type necessary quals, it's
hard to say.

If you search for stories on the genuineness of Chinese medicine, and some
Indian medicine, you might not have much faith in any Chinese
injection...and just make soup with star anise, which is the source of the
medical ingredient, at least for Tamiflu.

but 2 or 3 nurses turned up at school today, 18 hours from Xining, and
gave all the teachers a free shot! so I rolled up my sleeve. No side
effects, 12 hours later.

Did you read India Mike?  Did they help w/ your travel plans?  Also, Dave's esl cafe, India board, or any of them.   Let me know.  I'll send the travel article, but it's not the same as where you want to go.  But you're welcome to it. 
 
Glad you got the shot.  I'm in Delhi, off to Chiang Mai tomorrow. India's been wonderful this time.  Sad to leave, but difficult to write/use the Net here.  Just got info about my wifi.  Unbelieveable.  Haven't been able to run here, except on the roof.  However, I adore my notebook.
