Hello,

I'm using gpe for long time, without using accented letters in keyboard.

Now, I would like to use xkbd with accented letters, but I have some problems :
I have modified the xkbd layout to get for example an eacute. But I cannot see
it in the keyboard and when I tip on the place of the eacute, I get nothing (but
perhaps a window that disappear to quickly to see anything). How ever using
gpe-terminal I can see accented letters and if I connect my laptop and my ipaq
with ssh, I can use accented letters.

I would like to know at what level, I have to search. I'not even sure that it is
related to gpe.

Thanks,

Alain

Hello,

sorry to have forgotten the subject in my previous mail.

Now I answer partially to myself and make the question more precise.

I have observed that the caracter in *.xkbd layout have to be in UTF8. So now I
can see accented letters in xkbd.

This is still a problem. I have not idea of a solution.

I'm still not sure to ask the question on the good list.

Sincerely,

Alain
