(no subject)Hello,
I am new to the list. Just purchased OVERO Fire COM with Chestnut43 adapter, LCD with Touch screen Power supply and Cables. After connecting everything up and powering up I get no response on the console in Minicom or Hyperterm, also no light on the board except for the USB Console light on the board. Checked the Power supply-unhooked it reads 5 Volts -- hooked to board it reads 1.6Volts. I don't know if there is much more that I can do other than send it back for Replacement ?? any thoughts or help would be appreciated. Kind of a bummer, I was looking forward to working with it this weekend. Re: (no subject)Hi Eric:
Are you sure you're connecting the USB cable to the correct connector? I have the TOBI expansion board and it has 3. Moreover, I think the LED may be the issue here. If you only see the LED for the USB console, power is not getting over to the Gumstix. You might want to make sure it is oriented correctly and scope the connector to which the Gumstix connects to see if power is coming through... -Azhar -----Original Message----- From: erics001@... Re: (no subject)Azhar,
Thank you for the reply. I hooked the USB to the port marked Console , and I am using the external power supply from Gumstix, so it is looking like the it may be the expansion board or COM module I will most like contact GUMSTIX to see how to proceed. Thanks for the input Eric ---- "Sufi wrote: > Hi Eric: > > Are you sure you're connecting the USB cable to the correct connector? I have the TOBI expansion board and it has 3.
