Embedded Software Engineer
MobileFusion is seeking an experienced embedded software developer
with extensive experience in developing and debugging embedded and
real-time systems.
The candidate will work specifically on design and developing embedded
software for combining and fusing a wide-range of sensors for a
platform and hardware products targeting commercial and or military
applications. The candidate will be a key part of the engineering team
and will be responsible for:
Designing, developing and testing real-time software to process and
visualize information from different sensors including electro-optic,
range sensors, positioning, and inertial sensors.
Measuring and evaluating the technical performance metrics to ensure
system operates in conformance with specifications.
Determining the software characteristics that affect energy budget
specifications.
Writing detailed functional specifications that document the software
architecture, design, implementation and the use of the required
development infrastructure.
Qualifications
Strong C/C++ experience along with experience in coding Assembly for
microcontroller
Strong Linux development experience with experience in developing
drivers, Kernel optimization and Boot loader optimization
Experience interfacing hardware to real-time operating systems
Experience implementing low-bandwidth communications protocols (e.g.
serial RS-232, I2C, SPI, etc.)
In-depth knowledge of microcontrollers and ARM-based processors
3-5 years of software development experience, ideally developing
multi-threaded application for sensor and/or network systems
BS/MS Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related
