hi,
does anyone know of any site or location that has images or descriptions
(more than the manual) of the vs waveshapes?

thanks.

ps. noritake's VFD's can be put in to the vs. im still fiddleing with mine,
but i is possible to mount them in and get them working correctly. they are
fantastic. they have a new replacement for an older one (which is thinnner
from face to back) and it works nicely with some mods to the vs. if anyone
has questions, please feel free to email me.

You might also look for the Wavestation shapes, since the WS contains
a batch of the VS waveshapes in it (seems like it's half or all of
them?)

I have a page from some kind of SCI update or release notes I found online that is slightly more informative than the manual.  It at least identifies where the basic waveforms are and categorizes some of the others.  I'm out right now, but if you drop me a note to remind me, I will either locate it online or scan it for you later this evening.

I think their philosophy was more or less to let the user experimen/fend for himself.  I don't think you are going to find a detailed waveform listing.  A scope is useful for getting an idea of what is going on.

Looking at the Wavestation was a good idea, but the VS waveforms are only identified as "VS106" and so on.

my editor graphically displays the *user* waves in your VS.

offhand i don't know a way of visualising the ROM waves.

also the program has a name for each wave, as usual however naming
sounds has its own problems!
