Everything's fine if I'm running Finch but if I'm instead running Pidgin
and I run "purple-remote getstatus" I'm getting the message "No existing
libpurple instance defined." DISPLAY is correct.
I saw in a mailing list post that I should get rid of any excess entries
in ~/.dbus/session-bus and I've only got the one with the right ID and
DISPLAY so I don't think that's the issue.
