This patch doesn't remove the option ... just change ... With extended a mail with attachment and the text from egroupware is sent. With ical notification just the ical is sent, without the text.
My intention is to show the how important is the ical attachment for "external integration". I'm using this for users that don't have account in the egroupware ...
I agree with you. Must be options. I like egroupware because it have a lot of preferences, this makes it very flexible. Maybe, in your point of view, this patch don't add the desired behavior for notifications, but I think you should take the idea of a new type of notification that always send an ical. |

the purpose of a preference is to give uses a choice, why do I need a patch to remove that?
