Given that the JavaFX 1.2 release has happened and JavaFX is now available on Solaris and Linux, I was hoping to see the plugin show up for the 6.7 builds soon after.  It hasn’t.

What’s the latest info on JavaFX for NB 6.7?

Scott

We are presently evaluating how long it'll take us to have JavaFX
modules updated to 6.7. It's not a trivial migration so it'll be weeks,
not days, most likely.

We'll let you know once we have an initial estimate.

Thanks for the update.  I'm sure you realize it's going to look bad when
(if?) NB 6.7 is released without JavaFX support.  What the end users
will see is that Sun is aggressively pushing JavaFX on us and then they
remove the ability to code it in their own IDE!

Obviously we will need a clear statement about what is going on with
JavaFX before we are told to download the latest greatest release of NB
or you will end up with a lot of irritated JavaFX developers.

I hope the update to the JavaFX plugin goes quickly and smoothly, but I
regret that it wasn't included in the NetCat process all along. It's not
like you didn't know the plugin was needed for 6.7 long ago.  Several of
the netcat participants had listed it as an area they wished to test.

Regards,

Scott
