[67cat] [j2ee] WebSphere?

Is there support for WebSphere in 6.7?  I'm not seeing it anywhere.

The reason I ask is that there's a discussion about NetBeans on the
AS/400 Java mailing list just now, and I'd love to convert some Eclipse
users :)

Hi Glenn,

WebSphere support is currently available on the update center for
"dev" builds (6.7 pre-RC and 6.8), but not for 6.7 RC builds. The
reason is that there are some major bugs reported, which we were not
able to resolve so far:
http://www.netbeans.org/issues/buglist.cgi?issue_id=155521,161284

It seems to us that most users will be hitting these bugs, which
renders the WebSphere plugin almost unusable. However, we would
appreciate if you could try out the WebSphere plugin for dev builds,
and see if it works for you. If it does, then great, and we can
publish the plugin on the update center for 6.7 RC/FCS. If it does not
work and you hit major problems, then we of course welcome any help in
investigating and/or fixing issues with the plugin.

BTW, which version of WebSphere do you use?

Thanks,
Petr

Thanks for replying.  We don't use WebSphere, but I imagine many of the
people on the AS/400 Java list do; that was the reason for my question.
Is it OK to copy your comments to that mailing list?  You may get some
help testing from the folks there.

BTW, how to access the dev UC to get that module?

Sure, feel free to forward.

You just need a "dev" build of NetBeans, not an "RC" build. Then just use Tools -> Plugins.

Or it may actually work in the RC builds as well, in the Settings tab of the Plugins dialog, you need to add an update center pointing to this URL:
