[67cat] [other] Thanks for removing the duplicate JDK paths with short names from the installer

Some parts of this message have been removed. Learn more about Nabble's security policy.

It always drove me nuts that I would see those idiotic “short names” (another Microsoft abomination for those of you lucky enough to avoid Windows) in the path to the JDK when I was selecting the JDK for Netbeans or GlassFish to use in the installer.  Not to mention that the same path with the full names was right beside it in the list so there were redundant choices.

I see in the 200905200201 installer that the JDK choices are only show the proper full paths and the redundant “short name” versions are gone.

Thanks!

Scott

Sigh.. the bogus paths are back in 200905221401  that was a short-lived “fix”.

Scott, can you please report this against Installer component?

Sigh…

Figures.. this was fixed in 6.7 RC3 and now it is back in 6.7 final.

[67cat][j2ee] existing Glassfish instances no longer recognized

Apparently another regression since RC3.  The installer doesn't recognize existing Glassfish instances again.

Also couldn't add the GFV3Preluse as a service.

Both reported this morning.

Sincerely,

Hi Scott,

This was not fixed in 6.7 but in trunk only(#166036). It was too risky
to make such a change right prior to release, sorry.

Obviously I must have been mistaken.. I guess I had installed a few things after RC3 and mis-remembered.  Sorry for the noise.
