   I am glad to inform you that NetBeans 6.8 Beta has just been released. If you belong to those who can't afford installing development builds every other day or if you need certain guaranteed level of quality, don't hesitate and download [1] this important milestone build. First impressions about 6.8 beta...

The start up time and scanning was really impressive, and see that our project is really huge. When I talk about start time, it includes the import of settings from previous version. So far, this points are in really good shape, at least for me.

The source code and Matisse edition has acceptable performance too.

The only problem I found and I need to test again is that my plugins from old version was not imported (yet). So far this version is pretty stable and as soon as I get more details, I will keep you updated.
