When selecting Tools/Preferences, Pidgin crashes with the proverbial windows message box: Pidgin has generated errors and will be closed by Windows. You will need to restart the program. Sorry for the delay...had to find a faster connection...takes too long to download the files on a 23,600 connection :( Have installed the debug version: pidgin-2.5.8-debug.exe along with a newer version of GTK: gtk-runtime-2.10.6-rev-a.exe (that was required by the debug version). Pidgin no longer crashes when selecting Tools/Preferences. No RPT file is created in C:\Program Files\Pidgin. I would suggest that you try installing the latest GTK+ version we ship (though if your crash is gone you don't have to).
