1.Business Brothers Rleases LogTools 4.0, featuring 4D v11 SQL support!

Tap into the value of 4D v11 SQL’s backup log file with LogTools 4.0,
released by Business Brothers. Built with 4D v11 SQL developers in mind,
LogTools 4.0 allows users to quickly query, save and browse 4D log files
in a variety of window view options.

“Given the scalable nature of 4D v11 SQL, it was important for us to
develop a solution that gives 4D v11 Developers the ability to quickly
generate log reports.” Said Tony Ringsmuth of Business Brothers.
“LogTools 4.0 is a must for any large, multi-user corporation using 4D
v11 SQL that must conform to Sarbanes-Oxley Standards to report log
processes and reports”, continued Ringsmuth.

Some of the new features included in LogTools are:

* Automated Log Processing: continually scan Live Log files
* New "Users View" window

2. 4D with Cream - Mirroring with 4D Server v11 SQL

covers the Tech Note Mirroring with 4D Server v11 SQL.

Mirroring is a way to increase database availability. Database mirroring
transfers 4D log files directly from one server to another. In case of
failure, the client application can quickly connect to a mirroring
server with no loss of committed data. This technology does not require
proprietary hardware and is easy to set up and manage. This Tech Note
includes a component that facilitates the addition of mirroring to any
4D database.
