[ANN] Red5 0.9 RC2 released

Red5 RC2 is now available, go to http://red5.googlecode.com/ 
Please note the following:
  • OSX and tar.gz builds will be made available tomorrow
  • Use the mirror site until I get the stuff up on red5.org
  • Java 5 builds are not being created, upgrade your jvm to Java 6
  • Builds tested on latest Windows 7 Pro x64 using JDK x64
  • Admin plug-in is included in the build

Do not panic if it does not happen.
There was a big discussion regarding the same previously.
Please have a look into it for the work out.

Thomas, its not about it not working it is about it being at the end of its life.. http://java.sun.com/products/archive/eol.policy.html#javase
Sun support stopped on Oct 30, 2009 for Java 5.

I thought Red5 was abandoning JDK 5 and moving wholeheartedly to JDK 6? 
If that's the case, then moving to JDK 6 is a good idea anyway.  

Paul, is there a changelog somewhere I can peruse? ;)

I wouldn't say we are abandoning it, just not going out of our way to build for it (all existing java5 props/configs still exist). Java 6 has been out for several years now.. its time..
