[ANN] jQuery-Powered File Manager for CKEditor

We've recently released a jQuery-powered file manager for use with
inline HTML editors, CKEditor in particular. As many of you know,
CKEditor 3.0 has undergone a major, ground-up rewrite in the
transition from FCKEditor 2.x. It's vastly superior in just about
every conceivable way, but one casualty of the rewrite was the built-
in file manager component: the new version doesn't have one. There is
a commercial alternative, CKFinder, but it only supports a few server-
side languages.

To fill the void, we've created our own file manager which uses JSON
as the transport layer between client and server. A simple API allows
developers to connect it to their server-side language of choice. At
present, it includes a complete example connector for Lasso. A Python
connector is partially complete, and we hope to provide additional
connectors "out of the box" in future releases, in the spirit of the
original FCKEditor file manager. (Contributions are encouraged!)

The project makes use of many outstanding jQuery plugins created by
this community:

- Dave Methvin’s Splitter plugin
- Cory S. N. LaViska’s FileTree and ContextMenu plugins
- Trent Richardson’s Impromptu plugin
- Christian Bach’s TableSorter plugin
- malsup's Form plugin

We hope some of you will find it useful. For complete details, setup
instructions, API documentation, screenshots, and more, see this link:

Our FileManager is being released into the public domain. Although an
attribution, where appropriate, would be nice, and we would love to
receive bug fixes, enhancements, and other contributions, none of that
is strictly required. The only restrictions would be that you must
honor the licenses of the third party components used in the project.
Those license notifications and attributions are intact in the files,
and are all various forms of open source: Apache, LGPL, MIT, CC, etc.

We do not have a public demo available at this time. Because the app
allows users to add, modify, and delete files on the server, there is
a high potential for abuse. So, any publicly accessible demo would
have to have some features crippled, we'd have to restore the test
directory to a default state on a scheduled basis, etc. However, *if*
we can find the time to do that, we will.
