Hi.
I'm testing a CFF parser written by myself, and in order to test it
against CIDFonts, I have used FontForge to convert an OpenType font
(CourierStd.otf, from Adobe Acrobat Reader 9) to a CID font, both
OpenType and bare CFF.
The problem is that FontForge does not add the Private operator in the
top DICT data.
This is against the latest CFF specification (4 December 2003), that
explicitly says that a Private DICT is required, but may be specified as
having a length of 0 if there are no non-default values to be stored.
FontForge is following an old version of the specification
(18 March 1998).
Thanks Manlio Perillo
