Summary: add support for href attribute
           Product: xine-plugin
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Other
               URL: http://www.fdn.fr/~arenevier/misc/quicktime_href.html
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P3
         Component: Main
        AssignedTo: xine-bugs@...
        ReportedBy: arno@...

Hi,
quicktime documentation defines an href parameter. When that parameter is set,
clicking on plugin should load that url.
http://developer.apple.com/documentation/QuickTime/QT4WebPage/samplechap/special-3.html

Currently, nothing is done with that parameter.

I wrote a testcase where data attribute is an image and href is a movie. If I
understand spec correctly, clicking the image should launch the movie. At
least, that's how mplayer behaves.

That pattern is actually used on the web. See for example apple's page:
http://www.apple.com/trailers/mgm/valkyrie/

When clicking on "HD 480px", an <object> element is created and inserted inside
the page. That object has a data attribute pointing to an invalid movie, and
and href defined in <param> pointing to the right movie. You can't see the
movie with xine-plugin.
