Is anyone considering this:

The OpenPrinting folks have been working on this for some time and it includes
fronts ends in both Qt and GTK+ so the Qt front end should fit in a KDE
environment nicely.  The UI is designed by a usability expert who does this
type of work professionally.  There have been Google Summer of Code projects on
this for the last two summers and it is close to being ready for real world
use.
