https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=199095 Summary: Cruft left over Dolphin .part files filling /
Product: dolphin
Version: unspecified
Platform: Slackware Packages
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: general
AssignedTo:
peter.penz@...
ReportedBy:
gm5729@...
Version: (using KDE 4.2.4)
Compiler: gcc-4.3.3-i486-3
OS: Linux
Installed from: Slackware Packages
I've used two different distros and the problem has been the same in each
distro with KDE 4.2.3 and 4.2.4. When using dolphin for file transfers with smb
over wifi. Dolphin is not cleaning up after itself and leaves loads of
dolphin*.part files after the file transfer. This results in my case of
basically filling up my / area. The files I deleted today totalled 3.2gb worth
and up to 5gb worth when I was on another distro. Nothing is crashing so far
for dolphin.
Just as a side note on the other distro dolphin would segf 11/15 and Plasmas
would crash. I ended up finding out it was caused by and intel / X driver
collision. A few adjustments were made in the xorg.conf file and in the
settings for the desktop and everything is stable that way.
Expected Behaviour -- don't freaking fill up my hdd.
