[Bug 212922] New: Import QIF - Security - Can't Edit/Deletehttps://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=212922
Summary: Import QIF - Security - Can't Edit/Delete Product: kmymoney2 Version: unspecified Platform: openSUSE RPMs OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general AssignedTo: kmymoney2-developer@... ReportedBy: asemann@... Version: 1.02.42 (using KDE 4.3.2) OS: Linux Installed from: openSUSE RPMs Hi, I'm newly user of KMM and it's great. I import QIF files (from Quicken 2009) but I report a bug about Investment account. Probably I accept too quickly imported data and in one of an Investment account, I've got 4 transactions imported that I can't edit or delete. When I'm over one of this transaction, buttons available are : new / move to / mark as / matching to brokerage account. Moving/marking commands work. Total and value is correct. When I go to matching "brokerage account" I don't have more actions. Downgrading KMM to 0.9.3, it's very similar but I can't move or mark transaction and I have delete button (with error closed "account ...398"). Another bug, I have three brokerage accounts and no one of these accounts share securities of other accounts. And QIF import created another securities. For example I have six times "duplicate" securities. Imported securities can't be edited or deleted, other works fine. [Bug 212922] Import QIF - Security - Can't Edit/Deletehttps://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=212922
--- Comment #2 from William <asemann orange fr> 2009-11-03 16:23:35 --- Hi, I've already checked for transaction date. I don't know how to check closed account, but I think account isn't closed because I can write transactions on this account and brokerage at the same date. As I can't modify these data, I recorded new transactions and copied these "bugged" data in same account (no problem for recording it) -but- I had to create security. I think it's a part of this problem - transaction was firstly accepted without a "valid" security. --- Comment #3 from William <asemann orange fr> 2009-11-05 11:02:25 --- With yours informations, I think I can't modify some transactions because after importing QIF files : - I rename some accounts ; - and delete other accounts. Unmodifiable transactions must have reference to "old" account (I don't have closed account). -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Let Crystal Reports handle the reporting - Free Crystal Reports 2008 30-Day trial. Re: [Bug 212922] New: Import QIF - Security - Can't Edit/DeleteHi, Sorry for the misunderstood. I have the investment details in account. For example if I have in all investment accounts security like "Google", I have to create, download quotes for three securities "Google". That's why I told that securities aren't shared within different accounts. Moreover this, after importing QIF Files, my list of securities in "Tools -> Securities" have three times more "Google". And even if no transaction pointed to this security I can't delete this. Merging similar securities should be great. Even if there are no transactions, the transaction list does not allow you to delete them. From what I see, you can only delete a security from the list if you delete the corresponding investment in Investment view. But, are you saying you want to have one single security appear in more than one account? I'm not sure this is possible at the moment. If this is what you want, I'd suggest putting in a 'Feature Request'. I think it may have been requested already. b) 'And QIF import created another securities. For example I have six times "duplicate" securities.' I've seen and reported duplicate accounts being created during qif import. I'll do some more checking and I'll file a bug report. To make a clarification, you can share stocks among investment account. William <asemann@...> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Status|UNCONFIRMED |RESOLVED Resolution| |FIXED --- Comment #4 from William <asemann orange fr> 2009-11-05 14:31:27 --- I try something that resolve the problem. Re: [Bug 212922] New: Import QIF - Security - Can't Edit/DeleteI'm using KMM 1.02.42-1 which I think is the latest stable version. I had already try this method and I make it again after reading this mail. I create a security - exactly similar to a security in an another investment account (with upper caps and lower letters...) same symbol, same market, same fraction... I don't have any box or choice for sharing security between accounts. > Alvaro Soliverez wrote: > > > > > > On Thu, Nov 5, 2009 at 8:53 AM, allan > > wrote: > > > > > > > > a) You have a security such as Google, which you have in more than one > > account, and the security appears that many times in the securities > > list. Once you create a new investment in a different account, enter the trading symbol (first item on the Investment details page of the New investment wizard) and leave it (either by pressing TAB or using the mouse to move the focus to the next field, a dialog pops up with the following text (in the original version): The selected symbol is already on file. Re: [Bug 212922] New: Import QIF - Security - Can't Edit/DeleteOk thanks for this information. It was "exactly" (and not similar).
I found the "sharing" dialog box, not easily. Like you instructed, I use only the symbol (first item), wipe all other items, typing TAB over all items/buttons once and it seems that is the twice passage over the second item (name) is the clack. First attempt, freeze totally KMM. Second attempt was successful. Is there tips for existing securities ? Or for sharing by default all securities ? > Message du 05/11/09 15:09 > De : "Thomas Baumgart" > A : kmymoney2-developer@..., "Asemann" > Copie à : > Objet : Re: [Kmymoney2-developer] [Bug 212922] New: Import QIF - Security - Can't Edit/Delete > > Hi, > > on Thursday 05 November 2009 Asemann wrote: > > > > I'm using KMM 1.02.42-1 which I think is the latest stable version. > > Yep. > > > I had already try this method and I make it again after reading this mail. > > I create a security - exactly similar to a security in an another > > investment account (with upper caps and lower letters...) same symbol, > > same market, same fraction...
