https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=213474 Summary: konsole ignores --geometry kde-option
Product: konsole
Version: 2.3.2
Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: general
AssignedTo:

ReportedBy:

Version: 2.3.2 (using KDE 4.3.2)
Compiler: 4.4.1
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages
I am displaying konsole to a remote Xming server on Vista. Using the konsole
that came with Kubuntu 7.04, I was able to set the --geometry option to place
the window. Now with the above konsole version, --geometry is totally ignored.
Test case:
konsole --geometry +0+0
Expected results:
konsole is spawned with its topleft corner in topleft corner of X display
Actual results:
konsole is spawned in a "window cascade" location based on what other windows
are up.
Compare to:
old konsole version:
konsole --geometry +0+0
xterm --geometry +0+0
which both place the window in the top left corner
