I naturally disagree. You're right, you can use your mouse to select a window.
However, I prefer to use my keyboard to do it and most of the time my keyboard
only.
And yes, I can do alt+tab but that's not the point, because you can also do it
with Kompose and I like it that way.
In this case, I like being able to "speed launch" Kompose (like a speed dial on
phones) with F9 (and not ctrl + F9 which is in my opinion, not user-friendly
but that's not the point here).
Once Kompose is launched, it only take a second to see which window you want
and another sec to select it with the keyboard with one hand. It happens fast
while your other hand is still on F9. Thus, selecting the window by pressing
one more time F9 is efficient.
What you say about the bug is completely irrelevant. I'm not asking to *change*
anything but to *add* a selecting choice.
Therefore you could choose to select your window in 3 different ways instead of
2 :
- click with the mouse
- press enter
- press the key you set
Moreover, for your information, what I'm asking is how it works in Mac OS X and
most of the mac users I know are not confused with this feature. I really
believe it's efficient.
Please consider what I'm asking.
Regards
