I seem to be unable to compile xine-lib 1.1.16.2 or 1.1.16.3 on Mac OS X
10.4.11 (Xcode 2.5) or Mac OS X 10.5.7 (Xcode 3.1.2). The following error
occurs:

I was able to compile xine-lib 1.1.16.1 successfully.
