sorry for not coming back to you earlier, but the alternative fix has one
problem: instead of stopping right away and showing the broken command, it
displays "Layouting stopped. The call graph has 3 nodes and 3 edges." I'd
rather have it display the failed command (dot -Tplain iirc) and making me
install graphviz.
