2010 has already bein released, maybe you could try it or run it from liveCD

Description of problem:
When I turn the volume to 100% then the sound is still very silent. I have tested it with a DVD in Kaffeine. The same DVD can be play with very loud sound under Windows on the same hardware.

1. Turn sound to 100%
2. Play a DVD
3. The sound is still silent.
