Not better but not worst :
1) With Kopete: still need export LD_LIBRARY stuff
2) With skype: still unable to install 32bit version of libv4l on my 64bit
system

Description of problem:
This Webcam worked fine in Mandriva 2008.1. Now with kernel 2.6.27 it doesn't work anymore. Device is created but image is black. I suspect there is a confusion in the driver because there are 2 version of Communicate STX (0x08ad with Zc0302 chipset and 0x08d7 with Vc0302 chipset). I have the second one but gspca_zc3xx is loaded instead of gspca_vc032x.
I reported the bug to JF Moine (gspca driver maintainer).
