[Bug 55083] NEW: KDE4 not working with Mandriva ONE on NEC PowerMate VL5https://qa.mandriva.com/show_bug.cgi?id=55083
Summary: KDE4 not working with Mandriva ONE on NEC PowerMate VL5 Classification: Mandriva Linux Product: Mandriva Linux Version: 2010.0 Platform: i586 OS/Version: Linux Status: NEW Severity: major Priority: normal Component: Core Packages AssignedTo: triage@... ReportedBy: paul-eric.despretz@... QAContact: bugs@... Description of problem: I'm actually testing Mandriva ONE KDE4 on my machines. KDE4 isn't working on a NEC Powermate VL5. Motherboard : MSI MS-6786 Ver 2 Processor : AMD Ahtlon 2800+ Memory : 2 X 512 Mo Video card: Integrated VIA S3 UniChrome With IceWM, Mandriva ONE is completely fonctionnal. All the hardware is well detected and configured. With KDE4, user can't go further than the connect dialog : User - password Mandriva ONE isn't opening a KDE4 session automaticaly because KDE isn't working. The user sees the "connect dialog" from the dm service.Any user tried is failing and the user is back to this windows after some quick messages on the screen. The last one is "Démarrage du gestionnaire de session" ("starting the session manager"). Note : The ISO's MD5 was OK. I burned the CD at speed 1x and the burning was verified and without errors (Using K3B on MDV 2009.1). This ISO is perfectly fonctionnal with KDE4 on one of other machine. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): KDE 4.3 How reproducible: Every time booting the Mandriva ONE KDE4 Steps to Reproduce: 1.Boot the Mandriva ONE 2.Then try connecting with KDE4... 3. -- Configure bugmail: https://qa.mandriva.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the QA contact for the bug. |
