1) open mc in a user shell

2) select an ascii file

3) F3 or F4

4) F7

Segmentation fault

This problem come only if mc run in  a user shell, in the root shell all work
properly.

Hi

With Gnome work without problem, only with KDE this problem come.

I tested on different machine with fresh 2010.0 installation and with different
uers (Even the magic Guest).

I have KDE here, and it worked OK, I opened a text file in mc, then F7 opened
the search window correctly...

Mmmmm, very strange, I installed 2010.0 on 10 different computer and all have
the same problem.

Is your a fresh 2010.0 i586 installation??

Hi

I did other tests.

The problem appear even on old 2009.1 updated to cooker.

If start the machine at runlevel 3 or make a remote ssh connection the problem
not appear.

On Kde even using diferent terminal programs the problem appear immediatly.

The new version mc-4.7.0-0.pre4.1mdv2010.1 solve the problem, please rcompile
it even for 2010.0.

I reported bug ##55458 which has been marked as a duplicate of this bug, but I
update to mc-4.7.0-0.pre4.1mdv2010.0.i586 (main/testing) and it seems to be
good. I don't have segmentnation fault and everything is ok.
