       RPM Package: rpmdrake-5.23-1mdv2010.0.src.rpm
Summary: rpmdrake is not finding packages from mirrors
    Classification: Mandriva Linux
           Product: Mandriva Linux
           Version: 2010.0
          Platform: i586
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: major
          Priority: normal
         Component: Core Packages
        AssignedTo: tvignaud@...
        ReportedBy: gio.grifis@...
         QAContact: bugs@...

Description of problem:
When I try to install some packages (example: kde4-style-qtcurve) rpmdrake
complains that this given package is not present in the mirrors. Rpmdrake then
suggest to update my sources. The problem is that updating my sources is not
helping. I looked in the mirror and the packages that rpmdrake can't find are
present and it's possible to manually download them. I've also tried several
different mirrors without success.
Finally, If I install the same packages from commandline (eg: urpmi
kde4-style-qtcurve) it just works fine!

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

rpmdrake-5.23-1mdv2010.0

How reproducible: open mandriva control server and try to install some packages
(eg: kde4-style-qtcurve, k3b ... others).

I set this to major since, IMHO, not being able to install vital applications
like k3b (at least without the terminal) is quite bad for a linux user. I
consider rpmdrake a basic component of mandriva. However if you feel that it's
to much feel free to change it to normal.

I've just discovered one thing. The error does not depend on a particular
package. Usually the first package that I install works ok, the second/third
package usually fails. So I tried to istall qtcurve (ok) and then k3b (fails).
Then I've closed and opened again rpmdrake and tried to install k3b (ok) and
kcm_touchpad (fails).

here's the error message from the console:
rpm k3b-1.68.0-0.alpha3.1mdv2010.0.i586.rpm) da /var/cache/urpmi/rpms

And this is the graphical error message that i get in a popup window(translated
from italian):
Installation failed

Updating urpmi database could help.

Do you want to continue anyway?
