This morning I installed Mandriva 2010.0 Free on a computer with NVidia 8600GT card connected to a LG W2452V (1920x1200) monitor through a Conceptronic KVM. During the installationt I have not experienced any problem but at the restart X do not want start. To solve the problem I used VESA driver instead of preconfigured nidia X driver. With VESA driver X start without problem, at this point I installed NVidia propietary driver wich work correctly. So you're saying that after you have installed the NVidia driver again it started working correctly and you couldn't reproduce the bug anymore? I just realized the problem was in the "nv" driver, not nvidia. So you're saying that after you have installed the NVidia driver again it started working correctly and you couldn't reproduce the bug anymore? During the installationt I have not experienced any problem but at the restart X do not want start. To solve the problem I used VESA driver instead of preconfigured nidia X driver. With VESA driver X start without problem, at this point I installed NVidia propietary driver wich work correctly. I started on this machine an 2009.1 One, it work because use NVidia driver. I changed configuration to use nv open driver and after X restart the screen is black and the error message in Xorg.0.log are the same of 2010.0.
