i switch on my printer-scanner
system ask for me if i want setup printing
after saying ok to install all packets (task-printer) i have the error window

"impossible d'accéder au média  "Main media" (unable to access to "Main media")

then i validate

packets are installed

then gui installer disappears

then nothing else !

no message saying my printer is installed or not !

then

i go to tools/system/tools menu

i see 3 tools about printing

"printer manager" (cups)
printing
default printing

but nothing about my printer

it seems after printing packets are installed the automatical installation of
my printer -scanner is not launched

then
i switch off my printer
then
i switch on my printer
then
system asks for me if i want to install task-printing-hp, libsane-hpaio, xsane
then
i say ok
then
i have an error window
"impossible d'accéder au média  "Main media" (unable to access to "Main media")
then
i validate
all packets are installed

my printer works well

summup :

- 2 strange error windows : i suppose a remaining pb about pb reported here
 bug #51974

you don't ubnderstand it's not the same pb

it's the same experiment which shows 2 pbs

- a pb about printer installation : this big report
- a pb about error window message which would not have happen

 i open again thei bug report

It's the same problem of "I installed using iso on the HD and urpmi doesn't
find repos from it and doesn't download the packages from online repos" in
other words bug 51974 : "urpmi only searches in disk repositories" ?

The problem of the printer packages installation is a symptom of the same bug.

you don't understand

the error windows do not disturb the installation of the packets

there is a pb in the printer installation procedure :

after achieving insttallation of the packets it does not install the printer

OK, thanks for explanation, can you please then open a new bug report with only
that information when that "media" problem is not interferring? It would be
interesting since original bug report is a bit messy and bugzilla doesn't allow
us to edit comments
