Same here.

Intellimouse Explorer Optical mouse forward and back buttons do not work in
2010 (except for working in Firefox) but did previously.

I don't see a mouse section in my xorg.conf either.

Buttons are 8 and 9 as they were in 2009.1.

From the Hardware config tool:

Vendor ID: ‎0x0002

Device ID: ‎0x0006

Sub vendor ID: ‎0x0000

Sub device ID: ‎0x0000

Is Mandriva going to fix this or do we have to join Ubuntu to get a solution?
Comment #8 does not work for me.

No,
I think my mouse (Logitech MX1100, very similar to MX1000)is recoginsed,
because soem buttons (such as "back" and "forward" at the left side of the
mouse) works in Firefox.

The problem is that the only works in that application, not in others, such as
Konqueror or Dolphin. I think this is a bug, or Mandriva is missing ad utility
to configure mouse buttons.

I have attached the requested file from Mandriva one 2010.0 kde from a live
environment.

My Intellimouse Explorer Optical mouse behaves the same way. The forward and
back buttons work in Firefox, and nothing else.

This is what happened the last few times in past Mandriva releases when the
extra mouse buttons were not configured correctly for other applications, they
would work in Firefox and nothing else.

I pasted in my Xorg.0.log file contents.

Please attach long texts like this to the bug report rather than post it
directly as this make reading the report harder. Thanks.
