[Building Sakai] Sakai Boston BOF: Sakai 3 Course Sites10-11am Thursday, 9 July 2009 in BOF room 203
BOF session to discuss and plan resources for the requirements and development of first-generation Sakai 3 course websites. This BOF arose out of the discussion during the 6 July 2009 Project Coordination meeting. The goal will be to discuss, define, and marshal resources to complete development of a first-generation course "site" capabilities in Sakai 3. People representing institutions that may deploy or adopt Sakai 3 for course sites or are engaged in Sakai 3 development are encouraged to attend. -- Nate Angell Client Evangelist @xolotl = twitter ixmati = AIM, skype, gtalk nthangell = yahoo, .mac 209965525 = ICQ 602.714.9677 work 503.927.1162 mobile http://www.rsmart.com _______________________________________________ sakai-dev mailing list sakai-dev@... http://collab.sakaiproject.org/mailman/listinfo/sakai-dev TO UNSUBSCRIBE: send email to sakai-dev-unsubscribe@... with a subject of "unsubscribe" |

Re: [Building Sakai] Sakai Boston BOF: Sakai 3 Course SitesPlan to be there. We might struggle with the temptation to ask what
course features Sakai 3 should support, which is not, as I understand it, the focus of this BOF. And so for those hoping to attend who don't have the context of the project coordination discussions, I might try to underscore the fact that the aim is to work through what an earliest, simplest set of course capabilities might be. Not the full vision, perhaps not even something the majority would put into production, but rather a first achievable milestone. It is a kind of breakout session between the two days of project coordination meetings on Monday and Saturday, and so we may be often referencing those conversations, but I hope that won't inhibit new participation. ~Clay On Mon, Jul 6, 2009 at 7:42 PM, Nate Angell<nate.angell@...> wrote: > 10-11am Thursday, 9 July 2009 in BOF room 203 > > BOF session to discuss and plan resources for the requirements and > development of first-generation Sakai 3 course websites. > > This BOF arose out of the discussion during the 6 July 2009 Project > Coordination meeting. Re: [Building Sakai] Sakai Boston BOF: Sakai 3 Course SitesNate, I haven't gotten a chance to talk to you about your plans for
this, but I expect a bit of conceptual overlap with the Groups-and-Roles BOFs (since one of our biggest challenges there is merging social-networking-style groups with academic department-and-classroom-style groups) and the Integration BOF (where we'll touch on CM and IMS LIS integration). Anyway, I'll certainly try to be there! Best, Ray On 7/8/09 9:04 AM, Clay Fenlason wrote: > Plan to be there. Re: [Building Sakai] Sakai Boston BOF: Sakai 3 Course SitesOn Friday, there is a Sakai 3 discussion about Portfolio functionality.
Should that group consider joining this BOF? (I think we should!)
