If 2.6.x branch then 2.6-SNAPSHOT, if a tagged release ie 2.6.1, then use that as your version.
However you also need to adjust the POMs so they use the (up to) 3 Kernel dependencies rather than the many individual dependencies, see this post:
Might also be worth asking the SCORM player developers to create a 2.6 compatible release, or adjust the POMs so it builds in both.
