[Building Sakai] site templates question

When a site is created from a template, links within files in resources (say t images or other files in Resources) seem to be searched and replaced to point to copies of the original files stored in the copied site.

The site icon URL is not modified so still points back to the image in the template.

This behaviour is different from when a site is duplicated.

Is this by design or is it a bug?

Adam (using 2.8)

I'd consider this a bug (probably just an oversight). Sites created from templates should be independent.

cheers,
Steve
