[Cooker] Lack of smoothness when the desktop is shown after start KDE session

Since tree weeks ago, my KDE desktop don't show smoothly after the KDE splash/startup stage. At some moment, about three quarters of the screen, upper left, shows some kind of the desktop image, eventually the actual desktop suddenly appears.

I've tried to solve stopping plasma, deleting the plasma* files in the .kde4 directory. This renders a clean desktop, and it returns to appear smoothly, but as long as you don't put any plasmoid. After you set any plasmoid (I used to have yawp and comic), the behavior first described reappears.

Don't know if it is a upstream bug. I think this is happening since the 4.3.2 release.

I saw this when booting One (self-built, cooker as of yesterday).

Same here on free 2009.1 + KDE4.3.1(yeah Helio's unofficial backport...)

KDE also lacks of smoothness when closing the session : I can wait more than 20 seconds for the session to shut down if I don't ask twice...

started to use kde 4.3.2. do you know if there is already a bug report?

I commented on the bug, as you can see my report and yours are 20 bugs
and less than a day apart, so I believe they are the same issue

I think that either qt patch 1018 or 1100 is not functioning 100% the
bugs it  (they) was(were) supposed to solve

The same for me, although being the wallpaper so dark maybe confused me.
I'm curious to see what will show once the Mandriva Team change the KDE splash theme,
to see if the image shown is the remain of the KDE splash or some image cached somewere...
