Hello

What software is requiring it? Seems that you are adding it to contrib
repository but without becoming its maintainer, then, I think that would
be better to know the reasons for adding more orphaned packages to mdv
repos ;-)

all new packages should be automatically assigned to the submitter. if
it's not the case, then someone from mandriva should kick the main db.
unfortunately, it happens quite often. :-|

I would prefer packagers thinking if a package is really needed, if
upstream is responsive enough and if app is stable enough to be added to
a repo, because that package will be easily installable by users and,
then, they will think that it's maintained, and will get angry when they
see their opened bugs without any reply for months (or even years)
