Sorry you are the only one, ant Xfce or any other DE has nothing to do
with this.

Please try to run your favourite apps under some terminal emulator and
check the output.

 when i can't lauch nothing on xfce, i start xterm on boot with
 "autostart". then in xterm i try to lauch thunar,
 gimp ... but i have no output ! nothing ...
 if you have some idea ?
