[DG: User Experience] 3akai UX developers virtual meeting

Hi folks,
I know that as I become more involved with 3akai front-end development that I have lots of questions. While most of our discussion and decision making should be done on list, from experience I know that it's easier to when you know who's talking. So I'm proposing an online "kick-off" meeting for front-end developers, 3akai team managers, and anyone else who wants to join in. (Everyone is welcome but let's keep the discussion to matters of front-end dev).

This is also an opportunity for folks to raise their hands and say, "Yes, I'm contributing or planning to contribute front-end dev code in the near future. Right now the folks I know of are: Oszkar, Christian, Ray and myself. Who else is out there?

Some proposed topics of conversation:
- Who are we?
- Short term plans?
- Long term plans?
- Do we need a regular meeting? Weekly standup?
- Decision making process
- Bug and task tracking
- Framework? How much of one do we need? View, Model?
- Componentization? Fluid or something else?
- Crockford style and jslint? a good thing?
- Channels of communication: IRC, confluence, sakai-ux list?

If set up a doodle with some possible times. If there is enough interest I'll make it happen.

Thanks,
Eli

So far everyone looks pretty free next week. I'll let a few more folks
respond to the Doodle and that I'll post a meeting date.

Thanks,
Eli

OK, we have a meeting.

Friday, Nov. 20th, 8am PST
(it's early on this coast, but a bit more merciful on Cape Town)

We have 8 people signed up:
- Eli Cochran
- Ray Davis
- Christian Vuerings
- Oszkar Nagy
- Lovemore Nalube
- Stuart Freeman
- Simon Gaeremynck
- Clay Fenlason

Please join us even if you didn't sign up, but I'll be closing the Doodle now. For this first meeting, I think it's best to focus on introductions and the logistics of working together.

Thanks,
Eli

Change of plans... turns out the Oszkar and Christian are not busy on Friday, the 20th. However, they are available on Friday, the 13th, which is also better for Sam.

And so, the meeting will now be Friday, Nov. 13th, 8am PST

Sorry for the confusion.
