HI folks,
We'll be having the Sakai 3 UX Developers Meeting on Friday, Nov. 13 at 8am PST

I've had very good luck meeting in Adobe Connect. The Sakai 3 Groups project has a Connect room provided to us by UC Davis. You'll need a computer with a mic or a headset, and ideally a camera. However, if too many folks are on the call, we'll probably have to turn the images off to save bandwidth. (On Fluid we've managed video conferences with a dozen folks but only with mixed success.)

Here are the details...

Select "Enter as Guest"
Add your name and click "Enter Room"

Once in, please take a few moments to go through the "Audio Setup Wizard" under the "Meeting" menu. This will ensure that your mic is working and that you can be heard.

Thanks,
Eli

. . . . . . . . . . .  .  .   .    .      .         .              .                     .

Eli Cochran
user interaction developer
ETS, UC Berkeley

Hi All,

I'm interested in being involved in the UX work also, particularly the
area of discussion. I can't commit a load of time to it as we're moving
to 2.7 as soon as it emerges, but we are interested in early adoption of
3 for particular communities here at Lancaster.

Room for one more?

Cheers,

Adrian.

Hi Adrian,

Great news! There is room for more than one in UX ;)

Here is some basic info you might find useful:

General guidelines, info, which we are trying to move towards:
http://confluence.sakaiproject.org/display/3AK/Sakai+3+UX+Development+Guidelines+and+Information

----------

Communication channels:

General UX things on list here:
sakai-ux@...

We use the Sakai JIRA for issue tracking:
http://jira.sakaiproject.org
(just sign-up an account, you'll see the issues under Sakai 3 / Sakai 3
- Core / 3akai)

There is a Confluence page for 3akai work:
http://confluence.sakaiproject.org/display/3AK/3akai
( you'll need an account as well, just sign-up )

Sakai 3 Google group:
http://groups.google.co.uk/group/3akai

IRC:
irc.freenode.net - #sakai

----------

Docs at the moment (this will get simpler and more up-to-date in the
near future):
http://confluence.sakaiproject.org/display/KERNDOC/Kernel+-+K2+-+Documentation

----------

UX Code at Github:
http://github.com/oszkarnagy/3akai-ux

Please fork this, push your changes to your Github account and send me a
pull request to merge in the code if you would like to contribute.

----------

Dev environment set up:
I'll post a step-by-step tutorial on this from a UX developer
perspective soon, until then please let me know if you run into
difficulties.

If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask, we always try to help.

All the best and welcome,
Oszkar
