Pavel Cisar reopened CORE-2670:
-------------------------------

As it's not normally possible to protect open database from accidental deletion, I've decided to reopen the ticket (after consultation with Vlad), but this time as Improvement (current behaviour is correct, so it's not a bug). Vlad suggested to add a DPB flag to open the database in exclusive mode (if possible). However, implementing it for 2.5 is out of question (maybe for some maintenance version at beast).

>  Hi All;
> I found I can connect to a database file using no-embedded server, while another application is first connected to it with the embedded server.
> More,  I can override a whole database file (doing a simple copy) at the time one application is connected to it using the embedded server.
> This is not what it is expected, and is not what the README_embedded.txt says:
>    The embedded server supports only the local connect
>     to a database file path without a server name. The
>     client program gets an exclusive access to the
>     database file after successful connect.
> It sounds to me as the embedded is not using the right sharing clauses or something like that.
> Best regards,
> Dany
