[FYI]: SwingLabs-demos is on the move to 1.6

all code is changed to latest (soon-to-be SwingX1.6) api. To make life easier, removed the old demos under src (Karl, hope I remembered correctly that you integrated that into SwingXSet - if not, please let me know, there's a tagged version with the unchanged so we can grab it back if needed)

The one thing - except implementing the tbd demos <g> - left to do is to make the demo framework (swingset3) itself use SwingX. Would look a bit funny otherwise IMO, f.i. why have those hand-crafted selectors when we have JXTaskPane to do it SwingX style.

Basically, that's fairly easy (thanks to all the nice work Karl already put into the cleanup :-):
- the skeleton is already there (under the Devoxx src hierarchy)
- just verified that its good enough to copy the demo.somecomponent from the swingxset into the devoxxset
- cleanup packages/names/source organization

Here's a webstartable (just a few demos available) which will be filled over the next few days or so

https://swinglabs-demos.dev.java.net/demos/swingxset6/swingxset.jnlp

As soon as that is fully functional, I plan to
- give Jan a GO to release
- remove all links from swingx, swinglabs-demos project pages and from the wiki to swinglabs.org (see the other thread)

Naturally, plans are made for changing - feedback highly welcome!

Cheers

to keep you posted:

started to re-org the code a bit. We now have a new section SwingXSet6 with two src hierarchies

- swingxset/src
- swingxdemos/src

the former is a slightly modified version of the original swingset3, to use swingx itself instead of hand-crafted components. It can be used as a stand-alone demo framework just the same as the original. The latter contains the swingx demos which depends on the former. The build is updated to be aware of the two source trees, creates a swingxset.jar and copies it into the www section so we can have the webstartable uptodate when the demos are updated.

Next step is to move the demos-part from under SwingXSet section into the swingxdemos/src of the SwingXSet6 (confusing, all these names, right? ;-) Will do so during the next couple of days don't expect too much of a problem there. (except that the webstartable will not run the demos containing a JXList due to security exceptions, as noted in the other thread)

yet another sequel of muttering to myself ;-)

it's done (nearly): everything from under SwingXSet is copied into SwingXSet6, the latter now being _the_ place for our demos. Karl, could you please double-check that I didn't miss anything and then delete SwingXSet?

Next step is to cleanup/implement functionality/demos which are still missing. Will open new task issues in swinglabs-demos issue tracker. Contributions welcome - it's really easy, same procedure as in swingset3, so if somebody has stuff lying around, let it fly :-)

Cheers

Yeah, I'll make a pass soon.  I'll file something in the tracker, so that we have a record of it.
