Good question about where the files are created.  The tracks were imported into Topo 8.0.  As you can see above the 06-Jul-09,035225P track seems to have been divided into two "sub-tracks"  and the 06-Jul-09,074047P only one "sub-track."  I'm sending this to Robert Lipe and the gpsbabel-code@....  I have attached sample files.

Your help is appreciated,

Are these files *really* written by a a PN-40 or were they written by some kind of Delorme software running on your computer?  The an1 file format was reverse engineered and new versions of Topo and Street Atlas introduce incompatibilities from time to time.   If you want us to investigate, please include a ample file that reproduces this error to either the gpsbabel-code mailing list or by placing it on the web somewhere where the developers can download it.

1.3.6  I created some long tracks (many miles and many hours) and my

combine the files (or do anything else) I get an error message an1:
Unexpected end of file (06_Jul_091.an1)! this only happens with the
first and largest file.  I'm running windows XP.

Can you help?
