Re: [Fwd: Deputy speeding complaint]I paced a cop on I70 doing 80 for 5 miles, riding the left lane, and
then cutting across all of the lanes to take an exit ramp. so I gathered all the info I had, and reported em. So far, my best successes have been with the VA state police and these guys. Fairfax county gave me a raft of shit for pacing a cop. (70mph on 606 from Whiele to Lake Fairfax) Aki Damme wrote: > Kewl Skip! Re: [Fwd: Deputy speeding complaint]Back when I was a teenager in high school a friend of mine and I tried the same basic thing. We reported a local cop, in writing, for a bunch of stupid behavior.
The next day he was directing traffic as it left our school and as we rode by he held up our report to show us that he knew who we were and that we had reported him. Bastards. Re: [Fwd: Deputy speeding complaint]And that's why I've never bothered reporting one. I figure they're going to stick together, and somehow they'll figure out who submitted the report.

Re: [Fwd: Deputy speeding complaint]In about 1994, I got busted in Michigan on the way back from Grattan
Racetrack. I was lost and doing 90 in a 50. The LEO drove a caprice heading in the opposite direction. I saw him turn the lights on as he passed me. I pulled over and stopped before he even started to do a U-turn. I received a road-side chat and a $65 ticket for 9mph over the limit. I was also from Ontario at the time, so I had to pay "on the spot" or have my vehicle towed. He drove with me down to a local ATM to get the money, then led me to the highway I was trying to find. I sent a glowing letter of thanks for his professional behavior and the respect he showed me to his department. I got a letter back from them indicating they appreciated my positive feedback and that my letter would go into his service record. I didn't bother mentioning the "special" treatment I received of course. :-) On the other side of things, I received a race-related death threat from a black woman in DC. The black officer who showed up threatened to arrest me if I didn't just let it go. He basically said I shouldn't have been there. He also gave me his card and essentially said I should file a complaint. I had no idea what that was all about, but it was pretty clear that there was a whole lot of something going on to which I wasn't privy, and wasn't ever going to be. I filed the complaint .. three times. Each time, the complaint got "lost". I'd heard DC was like a third world country, but that really cemented it for me.
