I'm seeing this same problem with 2.0.0 beta 6 on Solaris 9/Sparc,
and have seen it with previous 2.0.0 betas as well, i.e., I don't think
it's something in just beta 6.
One possibility that's occured to me is that perhaps file reception
requires a port/protocol combination that's blocked at the DSL
router/firewall I'm using -- however, I've been unable to locate
a writeup on Yahoo-based file transfer that lays out, step by step,
in full detail, exactly how it works, so at the moment it's unclear
to me whether this is the cause. But if it is, then this isn't a gaim/pidgin
issue, it's a network configuration issue.
